Tecchies is on the look-out for an experienced Support Engineer to join our growing team.

Working with a variety of applications and systems, you will diagnose, and resolve issues that are reported from our clients. You’ll provide excellent support and customer service and will be able to escalate complex issues to the management team where necessary.

This role has a wide range of administration duties, including the concise reporting of issues to the IT team.

Our team is well established, experienced, and driven to succeed, providing the best-in-class service day in and day out for our clients.

We are looking for someone that has had experience in Desktop Support and the wide variety of tech, systems, IT disciplines and desktop configuration that comes with such a role. We also need the Engineer to have first class communication skills to make sure our customers understand what we are about as a company.

To be successful in this role, you will need good technical knowledge of:

  • Windows 10
  • Remote desktop services – configuration and administration
  • Windows Server, installation, configuration and administration, (both GUI and core)
  • Active Directory and Group policy including configuration and administration
  • Microsoft 365 setup, migration and administration
  • Vendor software management including MSP awareness

With good general knowledge in:

  • TCP/IP & Routing
  • Firewalls and VPNs
  • Broadband and Leased Line technologies
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Knowledge and experience of server virtualisation technologies.

This role is working from office/home however you will be required to attend customers sites, and will require a current Driving Licence.
